Department of human resources management
The Department of HR Management provides courses at the Bachelor's and Master's level. The department is the coordinator of the Bachelor's degree programme Business Economics and Human Resources Management, which covers mainly courses in personnel management and psychology and sociology for HR professionals. Experts in the field participate in the teaching process. At the Master's level, the department focuses on courses on development of managerial skills, organisational culture and intercultural management.
Mgr. Eva Švejdarová, MBA, M.A, Ph.D.
Head of Human Resources Management Department
Eva Švejdarová has extensive experience from both Czech as well as universities abroad. For several years she lived in Spain (Granada) and in the United States of America (Los Angeles, Oahu Hawaii). During her Merrill scholarship in the USA, she became intensely interested in interculturality and migration issues, and in 2007 she was accepted into the doctoral program at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she subsequently received an M.A. degree from the Graduate School of Education & Information Studies in Social Sciences & Comparative Education. In 2012, she has completed her Ph.D. studies at the FF UPOL.
In 2012, she joined the Škoda Auto University. She currently works as an associate professor at the Department of Human Resource Management and teaches subjects both in Czech and English.
She has been leading research projects in the areas of sustainable business and education, new management approaches and business anthropology. She is a member of many prestigious associations and publishes articles on the topics of human resources management, corporate training, ethics and sustainability, intercultural communication, diversity and inclusion. In her classes, she applies innovative forms of teaching and is the co-author of the 21st EWA (Empowering Wholeness Adaptive) Edu didactic model.

doc. PhDr. Karel Pavlica, Ph.D.
Member of Human Resources Management Department
Karel Pavlica graduated from the Philosophical Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava, majoring in psychology (PhDr.). In 1996, he acquired his Ph.D. in Management from Manchester Metropolitan University. In 2001, he completed his habilitation (doc. degree) in Business Economics and Management at the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Economics in Prague. Since 2005 he has worked at Škoda Auto University, currently lecturing in the follow-on Master's programme in courses related to managerial psychology and sociology – Development of Social and Managerial Potential and Culture, Business and Management, in both Czech and English. At the same time, he has been the coordinator of the Bachelor's degree programme Business Economics and Human Resources Management since 2015. Recently, he has worked on research projects dealing with leadership, organisational culture and eGovernment. He is the author of many professional publications.

PhDr. Ingrid Matoušková, Ph.D.
Member of Human Resources Management Department
Ingrid Matoušková graduated from the Philosophical Faculty at Charles University (Mgr.). In 2005, she acquired her Ph.D. at APZ Bratislava in the field of Management, Sociology, Psychology and Ethics. In 2011, she received her PhDr. in Andragogy at the University of J. A. Komenský. She has passed a number of certified courses in psychology, including expert witness activities. Since 2016, she has worked at Škoda Auto University, currently teaching courses related to psychology, andragogy and sociology as well as providing psychological counselling to students. She is a member of the Association of Forensic Psychologists of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, Czech Association of Work and Organisation Psychologists and the Central Bohemian Psychosocial Intervention Team. She is a founding member of the crisis hotline and has worked in crisis intervention with the emergency services since its inception in the Czech Republic. She is a holder of the Critical Incident Stress Management certificate and is a member of the Consortium for Security Research Projects. She collaborates with practically oriented units in the Czech and Slovak Republics and has over 20 years of experience in education of university students. During her university career, she held several management positions. She is the researcher and co-researcher of several research projects and the author and co-author of several publications and many specialised articles. Furthermore, she is a certified lecturer of adult education.

prof. Ing. Pavel Krpálek, CSc., MBA
Member of Human Resources Management Department
Pavel Krpálek graduated from the Faculty of Business and Economics at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague (1987), completed his scientific preparation at the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Economics in Prague in 1991 (CSc.), and habilitated in 2007 at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the University of Economics in Prague (associate professor in the field of Theory of Teaching Economic Subjects). He was appointed as a professor in the field of Subject Didactics by the President of the Slovak Republic in 2023. Following this, he was appointed as an extraordinary professor at the University of ŠAVŠ in 2024. His professional background is quite extensive, comprising economics, management, human resource development, educational theory, and subject didactics of economic subjects. He has extensive managerial experience in the management and coordination of science and research at private universities. He served as Vice-Rector for Science and Research at the University of Economics in Prague and at the University of International and Public Relations in Prague. In his publishing and scientific research activities, he has long focused on human resources and education, entrepreneurship, career management, and competency development. In the past five years, he has been the principal investigator of four external grants for applied research, focusing mainly on publications in quality scientific journals (WoS/Scopus). He is a successful supervisor of doctoral students, with ten completed doctoral students in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He has extensive experience in accreditation and evaluation activities. He is the author of the Bachelor's study program Human Resource Development in Transportation Economics (accredited for the period 2014–2024). He guaranteed this study program at the University of Economics in Prague until 2019. He serves as an evaluator for the National Accreditation Authority for Higher Education in the Czech Republic in the fields of Economics Education, Teaching, and Non-Teaching Pedagogy, and is also an assessor at the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Education and Counseling at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. He is a registered reviewer of high school economics textbooks for obtaining accreditation from the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports at the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic. At the Škoda Auto University, he is a member of the Council for Study Programs and the Internal Evaluation Council. He is also the deputy editor-in-chief of the peer-reviewed professional journal Media4u, supporting education, and a member of the scientific editorial board of the Extrasystem publishing house. He serves on the scientific councils and organizational committees of numerous scientific conferences, such as Schola nova, quo vadis, and Media and Education.
At Škoda Auto University, he has been employed since July 1, 2023, on a half-time basis as an extraordinary professor in the Department of Human Resource Management.
Concurrently, he works as a professor at the University of Economics in Prague, Faculty of Finance and Accounting, where he is the guarantor of the unique Master's degree program Teaching of Economic Subjects for Secondary Schools. He teaches subject didactics of economic subjects, subject didactics of economics, simulated (fictional) companies, management of economics and finance, i.e., preparing future accredited teachers of economic subjects in formal education and lecturers for corporate education.

Ing. Eva Isabelle Křeček
Member of Human Resources Management Department
Ing. Eva Isabelle Křeček graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Economics in Prague (Ing.), built a company where she led Business Coaching for top managers of Czech and international companies in English and German for 12 years. She was a member of the Department of Economics at the University of Business (VŠO) in 2020, and a member of the organizing committee of the scientific conference Schola Nova, Quo Vadis. Since 2020 she has been an assistant professor and member of the Institute of International Management and Marketing at University College Prague (UCP), where she teaches Human Resource Management, Economics and Economics, Management of Economics and Finance. She is interested in the fields of International Economic Relations, Marketing, EU, Crisis Management, Project Management, Psychology in Management and Teaching Theory, and regularly publishes on these topics. He is interested in personal development, stress management with a focus on mindfulness techniques, and he is also involved in charity projects in education, organising charity seminars on personal development, procrastination, leadership and management. In her seminars she promotes positive motivation and project work with a focus on interactivity. It has been at Skoda Auto College since 2023 and teaches courses in managerial psychology and sociology, management skills and personnel management. Since 2024, she has been an internal member of the Department of Human Resource Management.

Ing. Petra Jarkovská, Ph.D.
Member of Human Resources Management Department
Petra Jarkovská graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, specializing in Economics and Management with a focus on Sociology and Law. She then completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Economics at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, specializing in Economics and Management with a focus on Human Resource Management and Management. Due to her long-term stay in the Sub-Saharan Africa region, she mainly focuses on teaching in the English language. She has completed numerous internships at foreign universities. Her research activities primarily focus on CSR, ethical management, and employee motivation, with publications in international scientific journals indexed in SCOPUS and WOS databases.
