Department of mechanical and electrical engineering
The Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering focuses on teaching courses in the basics of technical education for the automotive industry. Members of this department teach the courses Materials Science, Engineering Production, Design, Machine Parts, CAD, Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering and Automatic Control. Their aim is to give students basic competencies in the design, development and manufacture of cars. Teaching is complemented by regular excursions to the production and development at ŠKODA AUTO, a.s. Research activities of the department and its projects focus on engineering design and production, electrical engineering and automation applications.
