
Department of production, logistics and quality management
The department offers courses in production, logistics, and quality management. It is the coordinating department for study specialisations Logistics and Quality Management (Bachelor’s) and International Supply Chain Management (Master’s) and study programmes Industrial Management (Bachelor’s and Master’s). In addition to teaching regular courses, it also provides courses focused on skills training and experience building in cooperation with specialists and managers from Škoda Auto a.s. Excursions to top centres and lectures in the form of managerial games are a standard. The studies are the first in the Czech Republic to be accredited by the European Logistics Association and offer the opportunity to obtain the cEJLog degree. The department is researching a number of scientific and research as well as practical projects, especially for Škoda Auto a.s. and Siemens s.r.o. The key research topics are sustainability, resilience and the application of modern technologies in supply chain management.

Logistics certificates:
- The Bachelor's degree is accredited by the European Logistics Association, which entitles ŠAVŠ to award the Candidate European Logistician (cEJLog) certificate.
- The students can also obtain a professional certificate in Logistics Management awarded under the auspices of the Czech Logistics Association.
