Another Success of the SKODA AUTO University in the Field of Applied Research

ŠKODA AUTO University has succeeded in the third time in recent months in the public competitions of the TAČR.

After successful projects in the TAČR Beta2 and National Centre of Competence programmes, the university, together with JaNo, s.r.o and TERAMED, s.r.o, received support for the VRTOUCH project in the TREND programme. The consortium of companies with our university will develop a modular drilling rig for applications in space-constrained environments with environmentally friendly propulsion. ŠAU, together with its partners, made it into an elite group of 123 supported projects out of 539 submitted proposals.

Colleagues from the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering will then work on the project for next three years.

This project is financed from the state budget by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Industry and Trade within the TREND Programme.
