Course Description:

This cross-disciplinary course provides a holistic approach to strategic sustainability management's environmental, social, and economic aspects. The course integrates sustainability product life cycle management, environmental marketing, supply chain sustainability management, sustainable strategic human resource management, leadership for sustainable development, and environmental management accounting. Students will understand how to meet the needs and interests of multiple stakeholder groups through cross-disciplinary, cross-sector, and cross-functional system knowledge. At the same time, while employing 21st century EWA (Empowering Wholeness Adaptive) Edu. didactic model, students will enhance the skills and competencies needed for the 21st-century labor market. Special attention will be paid to entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, and the teampreneurship approach.

Blended format:

On-site workshops: 22 – 26 May 2023 every day from 8.45 - 15.45.

On-line seminar: 28 April 2023

Self-study & on-line follow-on feedback: May 2023

     Students have to cover all cost by themselves (accommodation, meals, travel, etc.). Students may apply for short-term blended mobility grants via Erasmus+ (70 EUR / day).

Course methods: 21st century EWA Edu. didactic model of learning, wholeness systems thinking, lectures, case studies, presentations, group discussions, peer learning, self-assessments, and a focus on individual talent development.

After completing the course, the student:

• Create a fictitious sustainable start-up.
  
• Synthesize the company’s sustainability purposes and analyze the synthesized purposes into the performance of the company´s departments, processes, and sustainability dimensions.
• Understand sustainability and strategic management as holistic disciplines.
